What should I wear for the session?
Please bring or wear comfortable long-sleeve tops without zips or buttons, and loose comfortable trousers or leggings.
Please avoid wearing skirts, shorts or jeans.
Layers are good so you can adjust to your temperature needs.
Please also bring a clean pair of socks to wear during the session.
Do I have to be ill to receive Shiatsu?
You do not have to be ill or in pain to receive a session.
Shiatsu can address both immediate (acute) and long term (chronic) health issues, supporting both physical, emotional and mental health.
You may come for regular sessions to maintain your health and wellbeing.
Shiatsu holistic acupressure sessions can also be incredibly relaxing and revitalising when you just need a little self-care.
How many sessions will I need?
While people often feel the benefit immediately after one session - many people find they need a series of 4 - 6 weekly/fortnightly
treatments to achieve lasting improvements, whereas others come for a monthly top up as a lifestyle choice to maintain good health.
Are there any times when shiatsu/holistic acupressure should be avoided?
Shiatsu/Holistic Acupressure is very safe however it should be avoided if the following apply to you:
- You have an infectious disease
- You suffering from a fever or raised temperature
- You have internal bleeding or blood clots
- You have had a major operation during the last 3 months
- You have an active contagious skin disease
You should inform your practitioner of any condition that has been diagnosed by a doctor and if you are pregnant.

How will I feel after a session?
You may feel a little sleepy after the session, but that often leaves after a short time and you may feel energised.
Sometimes you may feel groggy the evening after a session which can be due to toxins being released from the body - this usually clears up after a night's sleep. Sometimes it can take a couple of days for the body to complete the rebalancing process, and for the benefits to unfold.
Please keep well hydrated after your session.
How should I prepare for the session?
Don't eat heavily for two hours prior to your treatment and it is best to avoid alcohol on the day of your session.
If at all possible, plan to have a little space in you directly after the session.

How do I pay and what is your cancellation policy?
I accept cash, cheque and BACS transfers and via PayPal. Please let me know in advance how you would like to pay.

If you need to cancel or change your session, please let me know as soon as possible.
If you cancel or change your session with 24hrs notice there is no charge.
However cancellations or changes within 24hr of the session will be charged full fee.
